Synopsis
In spite of himself, a three-metre tall German giant is forced by the Imperial Prussian Army to serve as a scarecrow on the Western Front in order to psychologically demoralise the enemy. On the battlefield, his encounter with a dying French soldier, an occasional conjurer, makes him think about his past, his lost illusions and his misadventures within Prussian militarism.
